Weilong Co. lies in the most suitable grape-growing area----Yantai District. Longkou City of this District is assigned the only grape homeland in Shandong Province. It has soft climate and the view is delightful in all seasons, and the average temperature of whole year is 12?. The soft marine climate and fine soil conditions are fit for the growing of excellent grape; the grape from here has the same quality as which grows in Bordeaux, and it is praised as Chinese Bordeaux. Up till present, the grape material base amounts to an area of 35000 mu.

In order to utilize the advantaged local grape resources, Weilong has invested over 10 million yuan to setup three grape plantations of over 10 thousand mu each. Especially, we introduced fine genetic stocks from Italy, France and Germany, and also we invite agronomists from home and abroad to instruct the farmers for planting and managing. On that basis, we sign contracts with the farmers and set the protective bottom price of the grape. What¡Ñs more, we provide the farmers full-scale information and technique. In order to keep the grape fresh and keep the good quality of material wine, Weilong Co. has invested nearly a hundred million Yuan to found three fermentation stations near the plantation so that grape can be dejuiced as soon as possible thus ensuring the quality and supply of grape materials.

Since 1997, according to the Green Foodstuff Ecological Surroundings Standards of the National Agriculture Dept., Weilong Co. goes with the consumer's stream and plants a new kind of grape without public hazard or pollution. In 1998, "Weilong" grape wine was appointed the Green Foodstuff by National Green Foodstuff Development Center, and obtained the Green Foodstuff Certificate.
